Betty Tableman Award
The Betty Tableman Award: In recognition of exemplary service in the development or sustenance of systems of care for infants, young children and their families in the state of Michigan. This award recognizes those who are a strong advocate and voice for Michigan infants, young children and their families and contribute to the community and/or public actions that promote the welfare of infants/young children and their families. Their work is informed by relationship-focused, culturally sensitive practices and has a social justice lens to intentionally address the racial, ethnic, socioeconomic and other inequities embedded in systems that affect young children and their families. Aside from MI-AIMH members focused on systems, public or community work, legislators, other officials, parents, advocates, members of the media, foundation directors, and other citizens may be honored by this award for their contributions.
