REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS CLOSED
This first symposium will provide a rich opportunity to consider together the reflective supervision/consultation (RS/C) experience. A research and training tool, the Reflective Interaction Observation Scale (RIOS), will be used as a framework to experience and process the RS/C sessions during the Symposium. The RIOS identifies five Essential Elements – the “active ingredients” – in RS/C that is grounded in infant mental health theory and practice. In our ongoing attention to balance content and process in RS/C, we plan to set the stage for collegiality and reflection as we consider the RIOS and our process.
To deepen the exploration of the practice of RS/C, this collaborative event will be hosted by a different Alliance state each year. Activities will include:
-Demonstrations of live, unrehearsed individual and group reflective supervision sessions
-Facilitated, reflective small group processing
-Use of current research tools to examine essential elements of RS/C
Intended audience: Individuals with experience in providing RS/C and/or responsibility for building RS/C capacity in their state are encouraged to register. Please note that this is not an introductory training.
