This full day training will provide Infant Mental Health clinicians an opportunity to explore and reflect on their role in relation to others involved in child welfare system. Modes of communication, key terminology, preparing for and giving testimony, will be addressed. Case vignettes will be used to examine unique challenges and ethical considerations for court-involved cases.
Resources and tools, including sample court reports, a copy of Guidelines for Comprehensive Assessment of Infants and Their Parents in the Child Welfare System, and the children’s book Little Bunnies Say Goodbye to Birth Mother, will be provided to all attendees.
