With Gerstacker & Community Foundation of SE Michigan support, this 9-month curriculum will focus on process and content of infant mental health (IMH) practice as it is applied in CMH 0-3 services or integrated into home visiting programs providing prevention, support, early intervention, & education.
Who should attend: Home visitors in any of the above programs with 1-4 years of experience with this population. NOTE: Supervisor permission to attend is required. This series meets ALL of the competencies for Endorsement as Infant Family Specialist, many of those for Infant Mental Health Specialists and includes 8 total hours of Reflective Supervision!

January 13th: Atypical Development (0-36 mo.) & Formal Assessment
February 10th: Insecure Attachment
March 17th: Trauma, Separation, Grief & Loss
April 14th: Intentional Use of Tools & Techniques: Building An Alliance, Meeting Material Needs, Advocacy, Building Social Support & Developmental Guidance
May 19th: Intentional Use of Tools & Techniques: Emotional Support & Infant Parent Psychotherapy
June 16th: Reflective Supervision & Termination

CEU’s: Approved for 40.5 Michigan SW CEU’s and will also count toward the requirements for the MI-AIMH Endorsement®
Key MI-AIMH Competencies addressed include: Meets all of the competencies for Endorsement® as Infant Family Specialist and many of those for Infant Mental Health Specialists. Also includes 8 total hours of Reflective Supervision.
Registration: $360 (for the entire series – registration includes materials and CEUs.
Supervisor permission to attend is required. Participants are required to commit to attend ALL sessions. Please note that this training is intended for a small group and has limited space available.
Registration deadline: October 20, 2016. This training is limited to 20 seats. Registration is first come, first serve and requires prior approval.
