Exploration of the Nature of Trust, Vulnerability and
Relationships in Reflective Supervision
Reflective Supervision is a cornerstone of the support necessary for professional development of infant mental health practitioners. Much is asked of those who provide RS, and much is to be gained as well. We expect a great deal from those entrusted with supporting families who bear the responsibility of nurturing and protecting their infants and toddlers. Likewise, RS providers carry the weight of valuing individual practitioners and creating relationships that offer the emotional safety necessary to explore personal responses to the work, both the mis-takes and the small leaps forward that inevitably are part of learning and living, the practicalities of how we do the work we do and so many other why and wherefores. Our own contributions to the relationships is also a topic of this exploration. The workshop will include interactive group discussion, activities and will end with a live reflective supervision with one participant.
This workshop will be for those providing individual or group reflective supervision. It is expected that attendees have been in the infant-family field for at least 5 years.
