Early Childhood Learning Series
A Collaborative Space for Discussion & Deeper Examination of Foundational Components of Reflective Supervision & Consultation
This training is for those in the DWIHN who currently provide (or have provided) reflective supervision to staff, interns, teachers, etc.
This training is sponsored generously by the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWHN). Therefore, training attendees need to be employed by a Detroit Wayne Infant Mental Health program and a coupon code is required to register.
This training series will unpack essential components for reflective supervision & consultation (RS/C) that have been foundational in the IMH field. Foundational essential components include regularity, reflection, and collaboration; as well as building trust, importance of safety, and being emotionally present and available. These components have been described in the clinical and theoretical literature for many years. This workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss these essential components and how we put them into practice within diverse settings. We will leave space to have conversations about what might be missing or what may need to be expanded upon when engaging in RS/C. As we enter into this space of reflection we will examine the challenges, anguish, and beauty of IECMH work. This series will include breakout discussion and theoretical material. – We will offer a ‘hands on’ training that will be co-created to include your lived experiences from the field.
Dates: January 13, February 10, March 17, & April 14, 2022
Attendance at all four dates is strongly encouraged, but not required.
Times: 9am – 12pm – First 3 training days, 9am – 11am on the last day
