Description:

This interactive 90-minute webinar is an overview of DC:0-5™ Diagnosis and Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood (DC:0-5™) and is intended to provide a foundation of this diagnostic classification system for professionals who work with infants and young children. This webinar will promote familiarity with the background, approach, and content areas of DC:0-5, which will help participants understand that infants and young children can experience mental health and developmental disorders, as well as consider their own role-specific response to this information.

This webinar reviews:

The historical background of development of a diagnostic classification system for infants and young children (DC:0-3, DC:0-3R and the revision approach for DC:0-5)
Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and the importance of a diagnostic system that is sensitive to disorders in this age range
DC:0-5 approach to diagnostic formulation
Brief Overview of the Multi-Axial Format of DC:0-5 Learning Objectives

IMH Endorsement® – Will count towards the requirements for the MI-AIMH Endorsement®
Licensed Professional Counselors – NBCC Hours – Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health (MI-AIMH) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.6867. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. MI-AIMH is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Attendance: Attendees must have their full name (first and name) showing during the Zoom meeting. This is how attendance is taken. If your full name is not showing, you will not receive a certificate of attendance or for continuing education. Additionally, for those needing continuing education credits, your video must be on for the majority of the training. Participants may mute for a short amount of time, but if you need your video off for a longer period of time, you will need to be in touch with MI-AIMH via the chat feature in Zoom.

Consider the importance of utilizing a developmentally sensitive, relationship based and contextually grounded system of diagnostic classification with children from birth through 5 years old
