Winter 2012 Issue of MI Child Welfare Law Journal Features MI-AIMH Authors
The Michigan Child Welfare Law Journal is the official publication of the State Bar of Michigan Children’s Law Section. The Winter 2012 issue (Volume XIV, Issue II) focused on mental health and mental illness. One article, entitled “Psycholgoical Evaluations of Parenting Capacity in Child Welfare Proceedings” is authored by Kate Rosenblum, PhD and Joshua Kay, PhD, JD. Dr. Rosenblum is a clinical and developmental psychologist, a respected infant mental health clinician and scholar and past MI-AIMH Board member.
Another article, “Infant Mental Health: What Judges & Lawyers Should Know About Relationship-Based Assessment & Intervention” was written by Kathleen Baltman, MA, IMH-E® and Nichole Paradis, LMSW, IMH-E®. This article uses case material to illustrate how IMH services can to provide assessment, intervention, and recommendations when an infant/toddler and family are involved in child protection proceedings.
