Youth Law Center Honors Kate Rosenblum, PhD, MI-AIMH Board Member

On December 9th, the Youth Law Center is holding its Annual Loren Warboys Unsung Heroes Reception in San Francisco. This event honors individuals who have made extraordinary efforts on behalf of at-risk youth in the nation’s juvenile justice or child welfare system.  This year’s honorees are individuals who have worked to improve the lives of our most vulnerable clients: infants, toddlers and preschoolers who are separated from their families.

This year, YLC is honoring :

Kate Rosenblum (Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan Center for Human Growth and Development and an Adjunct Research Investigator in the Department of Psychology), and Kristy Smyth (foster parent) for their participation in the Birth to Six Initiative in Fresno, CA, a program focused on implementing developmentally appropriate services for infants, toddlers and families involved with the child welfare system.
