MI-AIMH invites YOU to join in this year’s Celebrate Babies initiative

during the week of October 16-20, 2023. 

For the last three years, Quinn Wright has dedicatedly served on the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health Board of Directors, helping to ensure that Michigan’s instants, young children, and families are advocated for. This week is no exception to Quinn’s advocacy. As we launch celebrate babies week, we are thrilled to share this kickoff video with you! Michigan is home to 333,798 babies birth to three years of age, representing 3.3 percent of the state’s population. Now more than ever, the mental health of our youngest Michiganders needs our recognition and support to be protected and nurtured. This Celebrate Babies Week is time to simply pause and celebrate not only our babies, but all of the often-unrecognized hard work and commitment of all of those who care for, love, educate, provide services for our babies, young children and their families.

Join us to find a way to celebrate the unique wonder and opportunity that only happens during the first three years of life. 

Thank you to each and everyone of you who help to support our Michigan babies and young children. You are true heroes who are building our next generation one relationship at a time.

Activities from Celebrate Babies ~ October 18-22, 2021

What a glorious week of Celebrating Babies we have had this year! All week we have enjoyed opportunities to read each others’ comments about how we celebrate babies, hear about how each of you are promoting and amplifying babies’ voices and watch an encouraging message from our Governor! Bringing the 2021 Celebrate Babies Week to a close, we want you all to hear from the babies themselves…we hope this video brings a smile to your faces and reminds you of how important YOU are to the infants and young children you serve.

This Celebrate Babies Week, we are celebrating all caregivers and infants across Michigan! Join Crystal Park, Program Director at the Great Start to Quality Western Resource Center, as she walks caregivers through two demonstrations of simple caregiver/baby interactions that they can do at home or in a center. Enjoy!
