Exciting News!

Betty Tableman, our Betty, will be inducted into the Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame  on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center in East Lansing. Betty is one of 10 women who will be recognized this year for her extraordinary life achievement. The reception will begin at 5:00 p.m., with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the ceremony at 7:00 p.m.

This is a wonderful tribute to Betty, who has been our voice for babies and nurturing relationships for so many years. The Hall of Fame, established in 1983, is a professional organization of academicians concerned with what is thought and taught about women in the state’s schools, colleges, and universities.  Patterned after the National Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, New York, the Michigan Hall was the first of its kind to recognize high-achieving women of an individual state.  Over the years, nearly 250 women have been named to this esteemed body.  Please join MI-AIMH in celebrating Betty.

You may purchase tickets, priced at $125 (a tax deductible donation), at the website: www.michiganwomenshalloffame.org or by calling (517) 484-1880. You may also send Betty a note of congratulations!
