A Holding Space: Support for Infant and Early Childhood Professionals Navigating COVID-19

In this uncertain time, we are all adapting to new ways of supporting very young children and families while also adapting to changes in our own lives. Holding the profound worries of vulnerable families alongside your own can feel stressful, and, at times overwhelming. In order to provide support, MI-AIMH will be offering free weekly virtual “supportive check-ins” for infant and early childhood professionals in Michigan. These group sessions, each limited to 10 attendees, will allow Infant and Early Childhood Professionals to connect with a facilitator and a small group of other professionals for both focused support around clinical topics as well as a holding space for general support.

Please select only one cohort at this time. Please note that these sessions are not reflective supervision or crisis intervention and cannot be counted on your endorsement application/renewal. These groups are open to Infant and Early Childhood Professionals in ANY settings- early care, education, child welfare, mental health, public health etc. We anticipate these groups will fill quickly. We will be opening additional groups as they become available.

To MI-AIMH’s Infant Mental Health Specialists and Infant Mental Health Mentors, the idea of these groups moved very quickly. If you are able to facilitate a group, please reach out to Joni Zieldorff at jzieldorff@mi-aimh.org. We anticipate starting additional groups the week of April 20-24th. Thank you!

The schedule is listed below, please note that you will attend ALL of the dates listed with your cohort.  Registration is based on a first come first serve basis and each cohort is limited to 10 attendees.  Please be careful when entering your email address, double check that it is accurate.  We will be sending details and unique Zoom links to attendees using the email address you enter.

These FREE groups are only available to MI-AIMH Members at this time. NOTE – you do NOT need to be logged into the MI-AIMH Website in order to register for these groups. However, you will need your MI-AIMH Membership ID when you register. Your membership ID can be found on your My MI-AIMH profile
