Jackson County Association For Infant Mental Health
Supporting Relationships for Infants and Families
JCAIMH is an active group comprised of members from several different sectors, including private practice, local health care, Early Head Start, and the Family Law arena, to name a few. We have approximately six to ten active members and meet on a monthly basis within the community. We?ve been focusing most recently upon the unique characteristics and needs of infants and toddlers living in two homes or in out of home placement. We hope to positively impact the legal system by providing a voice for small children through provision of training to court and protective service and foster care staff. Within the upcoming year, we are proposing a pilot program to work with Friend of the Court, and Family Law Attorneys to assist parents in making decisions about parenting time that holds the young child?s needs at the center of all discussion.
